Paid for gas fireplace insert in November 2016 so many problems still no CO

When I did, I was floored; they had changed my invoice to reflect a balance due. Essentially, they wanted me to pay the ton price for a half ton. I asked for a received a full refund.

Unknown to them was we were in the market for a new pellet stove. Within the week, we have purchased a new Harmon pellet stove and an adiquate supply of pellets from a competitor. Bottom line; 1) don’t assume you have the regional market locked up and 2) never treat your customers poorly, i.e. call them liars.

Fast forward to today, fall of 2017. I’m back to purchase more pellets. I bought 2.5 tons to be picked up in a few weeks. I asked if a half ton was ok and was told that they always open a ton to use in the store and because I was buying two full tons all was good. I paid for them and planned to return to pick them up in a week or two with my pickup truck.

Purchased our wood stove from Superior last year; very happy with the stove and the overall experience. Sam was great to work with- helped us make the right decision to fit our needs. We also purchased a hearth pad, stove pipe, and chimney pipe through them and they took care of the whole installation. Nice to have a one stop shop, and the pricing was very competitive.

I have tried to give theses guys the benefit of doubt but they have failed miserably, twice. Winter of 2016-17, I purchased two tons of pellets for my stove. I questioned that the pellets were being stored outside covered with about a foot of snow. I was assured and told to keep count of damaged bags and they would be replaced. “No need to bring them back, just discard them and keep count”. When I came in and informed store staff 14 bags were unusable due to moisture, I was given an attitude, told I needed to prove the damage and upon further discussion, told I was essentially a liar.

They are very helpful for answering questions on hot tubs, good prices on supplies and knowledgeable staff. My go-to place!

Although paid in full, I received a phone call saying the half ton price was increasing because they sell individual bags for double the price of ‘ton’ lots. I explained that I had bought two tons plus individual bags in prior years at the ton price and most importantly to me, these were already paid for; I had a printed and itemized sales receipt. I agreed to stop in and discuss it.
