So, I called Joseph (he is the owner and an agent on this property) and politely explained to him what the situation was and asked if I could come to show it to my clients earlier.
Meeting somebody like Joseph Scutnik is just an embarrassment. I was ashamed for him in front of my clients.
I am a realtor myself and had a very bad experience with one of the agents from Gateway Assoc. R.E.Inc. His name is Joseph Scutnik.
We, realtors, are supposed to provide our clients with superior service and simply respect each other because everybody knows that real estate is not easy.
Finally, after a loud exchange with his wife and shouting “What ever!!” they agreed to show us their home earlier.
Well, my clients did say to me that they are glad that I am their agent, and not him. :)
After our showing I tried to thank the owner for letting us see his home earlier and apologize for inconvenience… He rudely and very loudly asked me what was our feedback? I started to reply to him saying: The carpet is very old (I am not kidding, it is 1970’s orange/green awful color) and at this moment he shouted GOOD BYE!!! So, I felt extremely humiliated. All of this was happening in front of my clients.
I had to show seven houses on Saturday afternoon and it so happened that two showings were declined and I had about 45 minute before my last showing.
Agent was extremely rude and unprofessional. He started screaming at me telling me that house is not ready and how dare I want to go see it earlier then an appointment time. They didn’t prepare the house for the showing yet… (his house was on the market for 409 days, by the way, and I would think that if you really want to sell your home you would be ready 24 hours in advance).
